What's new?

Your initials have moved from the top bar to the bottom-left corner of every page. One click opens your account menu with Administration (primary employees), Account & Settings and Logout; the separate exit button is gone.

Help is now one click away on every page: the Help button in the bottom-right corner opens a panel with the guide for the page you are on, a full-text search across all guides and a direct link to support; no need to leave what you were doing. The guides are available in English and in French, following the language set in Account & Settings.

We're excited to announce that this powerful time-tracking feature is now available at no additional cost!

Starting today, users with the Team subscription plan can start/stop chronos directly from Home / Chrono page or case details pages. Previously exclusive to Enterprise plans, Chrono is now part of your Team subscription as a token of our appreciation for your continued trust in Case Trove. This is our way of saying thank you for choosing Case Trove to manage your legal practice.

Go to your user Home and click Timesheet & Chronos card and then start chrono.

Your performance charts are now available in CSV format. Download your timesheet data as CSV alongside the existing PDF option, making it easier to analyze your hours in spreadsheet applications. Navigate to Home / Time Report / Chart My Performance and click Download CSV to export your performance data.

The new address book export feature allows you to export all your actors in a beautifully formatted address book, perfect for offline reference or sharing with colleagues. Navigate to Actors, select Export Actors / Address Book to try it out.

Keep all your case references organized in one place. The new Case Reference feature allows you to add and manage tribunal decisions, court rulings, and other legal references directly within each case. Navigate to any case (click on the Update case), and use the Case Reference section to add tribunal decisions, court rulings, legal precedents, or any other reference materials that support your case.

Clone cases effortlessly with the new Clone case feature. The Clone case feature eliminates repetitive data entry by allowing you to duplicate an existing case with a single click. All case details are automatically carried forward to the new case. Try it out by navigating to a case and selecting Clone case from the context menu.

Cases and timesheets now appear in chronological order based on their last activity. Newly created items automatically appear at the top of the list. The sorting intelligently uses the last modification time when available, and falls back to the creation time for brand-new items, ensuring you always see your most recent activity first.

Track and filter cases by their outcomes. Cases now show status stamps for pending or concluded matters. More importantly, you can search and filter cases based on specific outcomes such as Won, Lost, Settled, Withdrawn, and more. This makes it easy to analyze your case history, track success rates, and quickly find cases with specific results.

Manage your team more effectively with the enhanced employee management features. Check employee performance directly from the employee details page with the new performance section that displays key metrics and activity summaries. The redesigned horizontal toolbar provides quick access to essential actions, making it easier to navigate and manage employee information. The user interface has been refined throughout the employee management section for a more intuitive and streamlined experience.

Need to quickly find pending or concluded cases? The new cases status filter makes it effortless to organize and view your cases based on their current status. Navigate to the cases list and apply the status filter to show only pending cases that require attention, or concluded cases that have been finalized.

Every Sunday evening, employees who have subscribed to the weekly performance report receive an automated email containing a detailed PDF summary of their time entries for the past week. The report includes a comprehensive breakdown of hours worked, categorized by billable and non-billable activities. This automated reporting helps employees track their productivity.

Clone a timesheet entry with one click. Do you frequently perform manual timesheet entry? The Clone entry feature eliminates this repetitive work by letting you duplicate an existing entry in a single click, carrying forward the date, duration, note, category, etc., leaving only the fields that actually differ (typically the date or duration) to be adjusted. Try it out by expanding a timesheet entry click on Clone entry.

Track and visualize your productivity like never before with our latest feature. Instantly display your performance over time with easy-to-read charts that track your total booked hours across three flexible timeframes: Weekly, Monthly and Yearly. Just navigate to Home / Time Report and click the Chart My Performance button to see your data come to life.

Tag your timesheet entries and report on activities with customizable tag lists in Case Trove. Organize your work, get clarity on team performance, and make data-driven decisions. Create location-based tags (e.g., Teleworking, Working Onsite) to see where your team is working.

Stay informed effortlessly with automated monthly time reports delivered straight to your inbox. On the first day of each month, you'll receive a comprehensive report summarizing all time your team booked during the previous month.

Case Trove supports both English and French languages with full localization, including adapted date formats and regional preferences. Switch seamlessly between languages and work in the format that feels natural to you.

Do you need VCard export? Go to the actor details page and select the More / VCard menu to export the actor details in the VCard format.

Saving multiple timesheet entries got much easier. The Save All button appears as soon as more than one timesheet entry is changed. Expand the entries, do the necessary changes and click Save All. All of your changes are saved in one go.

Need to search timesheets with lots of entries? No worries, go ahead and set your filters. You can filter timesheet entries by data ranges, employee names, billing status and entry status.

We just added a new parameter, the period parameter, which enables you to run the Clay Conflict Check (3C) for a specific period. You can choose to run the check for the last three years, or the three years before the last three years and so on.

You can save 15% on your bill by switching to annual billing cycle. Login to your account and go to Account Management / Billing & Invoicing / Subscription Plan where you can change your billing cycle.

We have enriched the Chrono feature to display the running time. While at it, we also improved the chrono icons and colours.

We have a fresh batch of improvements and new features to make your Case Trove experience even better. We introduced a new User Home that is the page you will see right after logging in. This is the place where you have your Chronos, Case Bookmarks, Conflict Check, and Time Report.

The new Chronos page feature lets you control your running and paused chronos, all on a single page. Plus, the new Time Report feature enables you to search, edit, and export your timesheet entries. You can choose This Week, Last Week or a custom date range to filter your timesheet entries.

A case you check out frequently? Bookmark it. Bookmarks are a simple way to keep important cases in Case Trove close at hand. To bookmark a case, you go to the case you want to bookmark, click on the context menu and then select Bookmark case. Read more about it.

Case audit trail is a chronological set of records that provide evidence of modifications done on the case since its creation in Case Trove. The audit trail contains valuable information such as the name of the person who changed the case, the date/time of the change and the description of what was change.

We are writing to let you know that we have added the security policy that covers the Case Trove product and services. Note: Our privacy policy along with Terms of services are also available online.

The Case Trove manual explains how to use the key features of Case Trove. You'll learn how to create cases along with the case actors: arbitrator, counsel, expert, tribunal president, etc. It also explains how to check for conflicts of interest. Go ahead, have a look.

We added support for the Legal Advice case type. Click on the New Case button and select the Legal Advice from the Case type drop-down selection. Case Trove will adjust the form fields dynamically and only show you the relevant fields.

We improved the chrono feature. You can now have more than one chrono in paused status. This is a useful feature when you are working on more than one case during the day.

Submits your cases in Legal 500 and Chambers & Partners formats. Case Trove supports the official formats defined by Legal 500 and Chambers & Partners. You can also export your cases in PDF, Word and CSV formats

The Chrono feature time your activities on the case you're working on. It autogenerate a time entry in the case timesheet. You can also pause, resume, or stop the chrono.

Do you need a weekly time report? Every Sunday, you will receive your team time report. Case Trove generates the report and emails it to you as a PDF attachment.

Time reports, like weekly or monthly, are the best way to get an overview of the time your team has booked during a specific period. Pick a predefined period such as Last Week or This Week or any other date range, and issue the time report in PDF and CSV formats.

Clay Conflict Check (3C), is extended to detect the conflict of interests in parent/subsidiary relations. You can easily define parent and subsidiary relation between two firms, which will be explored by Clay Conflict Check (3C) to detect conflict of interests.

Introducing Timesheet management, an add-on that makes tracking time simple. With the timesheet feature, you can track time directly in Case Trove, no spreadsheets required. View and filter timesheets across the account, and export the results as a PDF or a CSV file. The Timesheet report lets you filter by case or context, user, timesheet status, or date range. Its user-friendly experience makes it effortless for team members to track time.

This is a quick update on what we are working on at Case Trove. Work is already in-progress on our next major add-on, Timesheet management. Case Trove will get Timesheet management soon. An add-on that let you track the time you spend on your cases. It also lets you filter by case, person, or date range, and download a PDF file. Stay tuned, Timesheet management coming soon.

Need to share the details of a case actor with another colleague? You can do that, too. Select the actor and click share. The actor details will be sent as an attachment to the recipient’s email. Go ahead, give a try.

Case Trove makes it trivial to share case with other colleagues. You just need to choose the recipient’s email, and your favourite format: PDF, Word or CSV format. The case will be sent as an attachment to the recipient’s email. Try out the Share Case feature.
